The spotlight is being shone on the Tidy Towns Groups around the County – 18 Groups were invited to let us have their submissions by 31st July. From the submissions received, six groups were selected to take part in the campaign and include:
Dromahaire, Drumkeerin, Drumshanbo, Carrick on Shannon, Drumsna and Newtowngore.
Each week, Eugene Murphy will be going out to interview representatives from each group, discussing the issues facing them and giving them an opportunity to throw the net wider to enlist new volunteers with new innovative ideas and talents. During this campaign, Eugene Murphy will also interview staff from Leitrim County Council's Environment Department.
